David Elwell is the founder and principal attorney of Elwell Law Group, bringing a wealth of specialized knowledge and a client-centric approach to complex cross-border legal challenges. With a distinguished background in international taxation, estate planning, and business structuring, David established ELG to offer customized, strategic solutions often overlooked by domestic practitioners.

His practice focuses on US and international wealth-transfer planning. David is known for his ability to distill highly technical legal concepts into clear, actionable advice, working seamlessly with clients' existing global advisory teams. His commitment is to not only solve immediate legal issues but to forge enduring strategies that secure his clients' legacies for generations.

Before establishing Elwell Law Group, P.C., David practiced law at Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP and Duane Morris LLP.  From 2016 to 2024, David was a partner at Stonehage Fleming Law US, an affiliate of international family office Stonehage Fleming, where he was also a partner.

• Additional Experience: David served as an infantry officer in the United States Marine Corps from 1989 to 1993 and he held various positions in sales management and operations management at Frito Lay, Inc. from 1993 to 1998
